This flag was created as a replica of the modern royal standard, as the production needed a larger size than commercially available. I sewed the quarters together to make the full 6' x 10' flag, then handpainted with acrylic and fabric medium to maintain the flexibility and drape of a flag.
British Royal Standard

The flag was draped across the royal casket at center stage as a focal point for the opening scenes of the show.

These three lanterns were created using base oblong paper lanterns, which I then sprayed with a blend of orange and yellow glazes. I created the fins from various fabrics with light wire support frames and sewed them to each lantern. Two lanterns were stationary, and one was wired to be carried around stage by actors.

The lanterns were placed at the edges of the outdoor set, and were lit at intermission as the sun set

I repainted and reupholstered this set of 8 dining chairs with my team of interns, teaching them basics of upholstery tools, creating patterns from previous coverings, and piping. Additionally, we built two benches and finished them to match the chairs.

The chairs were used as the main furniture pieces of the show, rearranging to create the various locations throughout.
