Monty Python's Spamalot

This boat was designed for the entrance of the Lady of the Lake and Sir Gallahad in a spoof of the famous boat scene in Phantom of the Opera. I built the wagon and the decorative structure of the boat before handing it off to our scenic charge artist for paint.

This pair of identical trunks were a main focus throughout the play, as they got switched around between the heroes and villain. Each was created with a removable "skateboard" to allow them to be either stationary or mobile as needed. I built and painted the entirety of these, and they have gone on to be used in several shows since.

Hook slams this one shut every performance, so we ended up adding some reinforcement to the lid.
